Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by the Repair Station are properly executed prior to releasing the product for return to service.
To ensure that all maintenance is performed in accordance with generally accepted industry standards and maintenance practices, appropriate FAA regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations, and the operator’s manual.
Sign the Master Manual’s List of Effective Pages.
Ensure the employment information is obtained and maintained for each person assigned management, supervisory or inspection authority.
Ensure that work accomplished outside the repair station’s fixed location is done in accordance with the RSM (Repair Station Manual).
Determine equivalency of equipment and tooling used by the repair station and documenting that determination, reference RSM.
Determine equivalency of material and parts used by the repair station and documenting that determination, reference RSM.
Ensure that the calibration procedure is properly followed, reference the RSM.
Ensure that the list of maintenance contractors is current and provided to the FAA in accordance with paragraph 1.2.3 of the RSM.
Ensure initial and recurrent training for all personnel involved in the maintenance, preventive maintenance and/or alteration of civil aviation articles is adequate to establish compliance with applicable regulations as delineated in the Training Program Manual.
Ensure procedures are established that provide for adequate safety precautions being observed by repair station personnel.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Experience with quality management systems, test automation, and quality management processes
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Technical skills and comfort with databases and report generation software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Understanding of quality assurance processes and standards
Education and Experience:
Aircraft inspection experience in a production line/repair station environment strongly preferred.
Must be well versed in working on Maintenance/Repair manuals and FAR guidelines.
A&P license preferred but not required
Demonstrable experience as a QA Manager, QA Lead, or similar role, with 5+ years in quality assurance (QA) and at least 2 years in a management position.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle and feel, reach with hands and arms.
Able to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl at certain times.
Must be able to see to perform work and to see approaching vehicles, aircraft, and machinery.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Company Description
