Job Overview:
We are actively seeking a skilled Avionics Bench Technician to join our repair station team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and testing a wide range of avionics components—right at the bench level. Key Responsibilities:
Perform in-depth diagnostics, repairs, and functional testing of avionics components (e.g., communication, navigation, and flight control systems)
Use schematics, drawings, manuals, and test equipment to identify and correct component-level faults
Replace surface-mount and through-hole components using proper soldering techniques
Ensure all repairs comply with FAA, EASA, and company repair station procedures
Document test results, repair actions, and parts usage in compliance with regulatory requirements
Maintain workstations, tools, and calibration equipment to quality standards
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance on complex issues and process improvements
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree in Electronics or Avionics preferred)
Minimum of 7+years' experience in an avionics repair station or similar bench technician role
Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuits, RF systems, and avionics troubleshooting techniques
Skilled in using oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical data
Must be familiar with FAA Part 145 regulations
Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 or equivalent soldering certification
FAA Repairman Certificate (or ability to qualify)
Experience repairing systems such as TCAS, ADS-B, FMS, or transponders
Familiarity with Quality Assurance procedures and ESD handling practices
