Job Description
Employee will travel and service territory performing evaluations and installations of company products, such as modular aluminum handicap ramps, vertical lifts, stair lifts, grab bars and any additional accessibility and mobility equipment offered to customers according to scheduled work orders and manufacturer specifications. Prior experience with these products and American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements is not required.
This full-time position will require extended periods of independent operations in a company vehicle at a customer’s site. Personal accountability, trustworthiness and integrity are critical for this role. These traits will be discussed extensively during an interview.
Position Overview:
· Perform evaluations at customer’s home or business and recommend proper equipment
· Provide leadership and product training to junior technicians
· Apply recommended company products to residential or business structures according to work order specifications, safety procedures, instructions, and code compliance
· Collaborate with team members to identify and apply best-available solutions to complex situations
Plans and executes schedule to meet or exceed daily scheduled appointment timelines
· Exhibit a sense of urgency in completing daily job assignments
Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills with all customers, staff, vendors, and corporate personnel
Demonstrate high standards with customer interaction. Address customer satisfaction issues promptly and completely
Troubleshoot and resolve service and installation concerns
Safely operate company vehicle at all times
Maintain vehicle, tools and equipment in clean and proper operating condition
Safe keeping and proper use and care of all customer information and company property issued during employment, including tools, toolboxes, electronic devices, credit cards and any other productivity tools
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic mechanical and technical knowledge and power tool proficiency
Ability to use technology: tablet, smart phone, GPS, internet, company software
Experience with job costing, plan layouts and estimating job site requirements
Experience troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues using troubleshooting guides, wiring diagrams, etc.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity to lift and move up to 100 lbs. and stoop, bend, and stand throughout the course of a workday in varying weather conditions at various construction sites with varying terrain
Ability to pass drug screening, background check and have a clean motor vehicle report
