The CoverMyMeds Marketing team is seeking a highly motivated Brand Director to lead our Brand team. This role reports to the Senior Director of Brand, Design and External Communications, and will lead a team of 2 (Senior Brand Manager and Brand Manager) with additional contractor support. Your team will work in close partnership with our Product Marketing, Research, Demand Gen, and Marketing Operations teams to deliver work up and down the funnel.
This is a hands-on leadership role and you and your team will be responsible for shaping and implementing the brand identity and positioning at the CoverMyMeds brand level and for specific products and solutions under the CoverMyMeds brand. You and your team will own the development of the value proposition and messaging at all levels of the marketing funnel, identifying and managing the development of content opportunities at the segment and brand level, and executing awareness campaigns that help drive growth. This team is also responsible for overseeing the copy development to support marketing and sales enablement needs, managing external agencies and contractors.

CoverMyMeds Brand Leadership
Own, define, and evolve the CoverMyMeds Commercial brand
Lead team to improve on critical brand metrics
Collaborate with the Senior Director of Brand, Head of Marketing, Commercial leaders, and executives to push, elevate, and extend brand strategies, perceptions, and deliverables
Lead the team to execute standout brand campaigns that improve awareness and consideration
Own our visual identity and lead team to develop brand assets in partnership with McKesson Corporate branding
Identify new opportunities to expand brand reach and effectiveness
Content Strategy and Execution
Lead the development and oversight of CoverMyMeds’ content strategy, in partnership with our External Communications team responsible for PR, thought leadership/webinars, and social media
Deeply understand our business and customer and identify storytelling opportunities to deliver on our key brand equities
Manage a team of brand managers responsible for the development and reviews of segment-level content
Performance and ROI Management
Create systems to analyze and report on marketing, communications, and brand performance
Deliver on KPIs by assessing brand perceptions and campaign metrics
Use data to guide decision-making and improve team deliverables
Partner with Market Research Director to manage delivery of our Brand Health Tracker and identify areas of opportunity to improve metrics YOY
Manage resources and budget allocation to drive ROI
Team Leadership
Develop team expertise in brand strategy and content
Strengthen team communication, collaboration, and performance
Set clear and aligned goals to improve team performance and engagement
Build strong partnerships within CoverMyMeds and McKesson
Create talent plans, improve employee engagement, and build team culture
Minimum Job Qualifications
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Critical Skills
Relevant Marketing/brand experience for large organizations
Experience managing multiple projects, leading cross functionally and influencing stakeholders
Previous Management experience – leading a team with direct reports
Proven track record in developing brand value propositions and value stories
Proven track record in designing and executing brand campaigns that drive awareness and preference
Experience with content strategy and development
Self-directed and able to autonomously lead and operate projects and execute independently with minimal supervision
Exceptional communication skills – interpersonal, written and visual
The ability to collaborate across the organization – both up and down
Flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Experience in market research
Experience working with senior leaders
Fluent in audience/market research
B2B or Healthcare experience
Experience working with sales teams
Vendor selection and management
Experience in navigating a large, matrixed corporate environment
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, or similar relevant degree, preferred
B2B and/or B2C Marketing experience required

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
