Job Description

Swain Techs in Philadelphia, PA is looking for a talented Logistics Data Scientist to join our innovative team.

Applicants must have experience in Data Science & Analytics, Logistics & Supply Chain, COSAL Analysis, MPBS & Sustainment Planning, Deck Plate Operations, and Technical Documentation to be considered for this position.

$100,000 - $140,000 yearlyResponsibilities:

Analyze logistics data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.

Develop predictive models to forecast demand and improve inventory management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.

Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics operations using key performance indicators.

Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.Qualifications:

Data Science & Analytics – Experience in data modeling, predictive analytics, and logistics optimization.

Logistics & Supply Chain – Strong understanding of Navy/DLA logistics, provisioning, and sparing.

COSAL Analysis – Expertise in shipboard allowance list assessment and supply chain adjustments.

MPBS & Sustainment Planning – Ability to break down systems into structured component hierarchies.

Deck Plate Operations – Hands-on experience working with Navy maintenance teams and operational logistics.

Technical Documentation – Familiarity with Navy maintenance manuals and provisioning documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience supporting Navy logistics programs or working with DLA logistics systems.

Experience with AI/ML applications in logistics and maintenance.

Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or other data analytics tools.

Knowledge of DoD supply chain systems and sustainment methodologies.About Company
