Salary: $28-$38 Per Hour.

Operator (Large Rig Driller)

Ellingson is hiring a Lead Operator to join their industry leading Environmental Directional Drilling team. Ellingson is a stable, family values-based company that specializes in underground solutions throughout the entire United States. The Environmental team uses HDD to solve engineering challenges with HDD, primarily through installation of horizontal wells for cleanup of contamination and water management. This role has required travel throughout the United States.

The Operator (Large Rig Driller) will:

SAFELY lead drill crew members to keep the HDD rig operating and completing HDD projects efficiently.

Get along with all types of personalities and lead in a positive manner.

Plan and execute the drilling of directional and horizontal wells, ensuring accuracy in following predetermined paths.

Perform routine maintenance on drilling rig and equipment.

Set up and teardown of HDD assemblies. Assist in load out and load up.

Requirements:

Ability to operate HDD maxi-rigs (200,000-lbs class or larger)

Ability to operate smaller class HDD rigs.

Have basic understanding of wireline and walkover navigation.

National travel on a project basis for multi-weeks is required.

Long hours and overtime are required.

Ability to perform hands-on physically demanding work.

High School Diploma or GED.

Valid Drivers License, CDL preferred.

Acceptable record per client requirements.
