RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB ACTIVITIES:
1. Greet applicants, employees and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
2. Administer pre-employment tests and conduct reference checks.
3. Assist with ad placement and job postings for open positions. This includes internal posting, web-based postings and print advertising.
4. Serve as back up to the uniform program. Handle employee questions and issue resolution.
5. Schedule benefit orientation meetings and follow up with employees to ensure all benefit paperwork is completed within the required timeframe.
6. Assist with maintaining electronic personnel files including scanning terminated personnel folders and other HR related documents in a timely and consistent basis.
7. Maintain HR related supplies and forms. Order annual labor law posters and ensure all company communication boards are up to date.
8. Act as the Bell Fitness Center Coordinator to include employee orientation, access and program scheduling. Collaborate with Marketing to create wellness initiatives.
9. Assist with employee questions on HRIS system, benefits and policies.
10. Generate various monthly reports such as, but not limited to WI new hire, On The Line etc.
11. Audit and maintain all I-9 forms.
12. Assist with the coordination and implementation of various employee events.
13. Assist with development and dissemination of company communications.
14. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
15. Assist with special projects.
16. Perform other related administrative duties as required and assigned. Occasionally, may need to adjust work schedule to accommodate all shifts.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education, including a degree, is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: One to two years of experience in the human resources field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources. Prior experience with an HRIS database preferred. Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy. Must be accurate, detailed oriented, organized and dependable. The ability to multi-task is critical.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED: Computer with various software programs and standard office equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Hand-eye coordination for typing and ability to sit for extended periods of time.
