Maintenance Tower Technician

Wisper is seeking an entry-level full-time non-exempt Tower Tech I to join our Operations Construction Team.Responsibilities for this role include numerous manual labor tasks involved with the installation, service, and decommission of wireless internet service tower equipment throughout our network with a focus on new site builds.

In this position, the tasks will be assigned by the Tower Technician Lead based on individual job sites.

Training will include best practices and safety standards.

This position may require off duty hours work to be performed as needed by the department, as well as up to 70% overnight travel within the network.

Tower Tech I Pay Range: $18- $21/hour Travel: 70% Wisper Internet is expanding.

Essential Job Functions•Climb towers up to 1000 ft.•Install/maintain wireless Internet equipment camera systems•Mount Internet equipment relay data cables to each device•Install battery backups grounding systems for equipment•Prepare equipment for installation•Follow training protocols safety briefings•Other duties as directed Job Requirements•Valid driver's license•Ability to be added to the Company auto insurance policy•Must successfully complete required tower training within 90 days of hire•Obtain maintain the provided training certifications per industry standards •Ability to climb towers up to 1000 ft.
