MANUFACTURING CNC PROGRAMMER / OPERATOR

Job Description

Job Summary:

Insolves is seeking a CNC Programmer / Operator with experience programming and operating a CNC mill and a CNC lathe. In a job shop setting, this candidate will develop CNC programs using CAM software, then set up and run the program in the machine to produce a finished product.

CNC Programmer / Operator Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints, inputting the design specifications, adjusting the machine cutting paths, and performing quality checks on the final product

· Develop CNC programs for both mill and lathe

· Maintain tooling inventory

· Make manual program adjustments as necessary

· Work with the quality department to ensure that tolerances and specs are met

· Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process

CNC Programmer / Operator Requirements and Qualifications

· 2-5 years relevant experience

· High school diploma or GED certificate

· Completion of a technical or associate degree program a plus

· Experience programming and operating a CNC Mill and Lathe

· Experience operating manual fabrication equipment

· Proficiency in CAD, Mastercam/ Fusion with strong mathematical skills including knowledge of fractions and decimals

· Team member mentality with good self-motivational ability to meet defined deadlines
