Machine Shop Helper

Job Description

NOW HIRING for a bilingual (English/Spanish) shop helper who needs to work in their chain shop in the Hobby Airport area!

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, JUST WILLINGNESS TO LEARN AND SOME MECHANICAL KNOWLEDGE

SHIFT: M-F 8 AM-5 PM

PAY: $16/HR.

Duties for Shop Helper:

Produces assigned products by verbal and written instructions.

Ability to exhibit good written and verbal skills when communicating and completing production documentation.

Performs all duties and responsibilities with excellent attention to detail

Work well with others

Cleaning parts with degreaser and solvents

Removing burrs and sharp edges on parts using variations of equipment

Occasional drilling and tapping

Mopping shop floors as needed

Must be able to use a hand grinder.

Forklift exp. is a plus.

Basic Knowledge of Hand Tools.

Be able to read a tape measure.

Be able to work in hot/cold environments

Be able to learn to use a bander or winder machine

Requirements

Physical requirements include standing for long periods, lifting, and bending. (Lifting to 75 lbs)

Must be able to follow workplace safety procedures and use the personal protective equipment required for the position

Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot, and/or cold working conditions
