Position Summary:
The Program Director – LCSW is responsible for the strategic oversight, clinical leadership, and operational management of behavioral health or social service programs within the organization. This role provides direct supervision to clinical staff, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, oversees quality improvement initiatives, and plays a key role in program development and evaluation. The ideal candidate is a licensed clinician with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of trauma-informed and client-centered care, and a passion for supporting underserved populations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical and administrative supervision to program staff including therapists, case managers, and support personnel.
Oversee the delivery of clinical services, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and ethical standards.
Develop, implement, and monitor program goals, policies, procedures, and service delivery standards.
Lead and participate in clinical case reviews, risk management meetings, and quality assurance initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all applicable licensing regulations, funding requirements, and accreditation standards (e.g., CARF, Joint Commission).
Manage program budgets in collaboration with finance and executive leadership; monitor expenditures and resource allocation.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and staff wellness.
Collaborate with community partners, funders, and other stakeholders to strengthen services and expand program reach.
Support grant writing, reporting, and fundraising efforts as needed.
Serve as a clinical resource and thought leader within the organization.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
Current and valid LCSW license in NY.
Minimum of 5–7 years of clinical experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Proven ability to manage programs, lead multidisciplinary teams, and drive outcomes in a complex service environment.
Expertise in trauma-informed care, culturally responsive services, and mental health best practices.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Company Description
