Job Description

Pay Range: $15 – $17 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, or Tuesday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview

Madison Wood Preservers, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to assist in the handling, staging, and preparation of lumber for orders and shipping. This is an entry-level position—no prior experience required! We are looking for hardworking individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manually stage and pull lumber pieces for special orders.

Grade, band, and wrap lumber for proper storage and shipping.

Apply tags to lumber using pneumatic tools.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.

Pick up and handle treated and untreated lumber.

Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week).

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Ability to operate power tools as needed.

Ability to stand on hard surfaces for 8–10 hours per day.

Ability to navigate stairs and inclines.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. with and without assistance.

Ability to work around loud noises for extended periods.

Ability to perform manual labor in a fast-paced production environment.
