Tutor Doctor Pearland is a tutoring company providing private, in-home, one-to-one tutoring to students in all grade levels in Pearland, Friendswood, Manvel, League City and neighboring areas. The tutor goes to the student's home to deliver tutoring.

The ideal candidate for this job can provide tutoring for Computer Science course for high school grade levels- pre AP and AP courses. Must be able to teach programming based on Java language. Other skills appreciated such as Python, Scratch, Coding, etc.

What do we look for in a tutor?

Excellent communication skills and a friendly personality

Academic background in the subject area-degree or diploma

Minimum of 1 year of experience in teaching and/or tutoring at higher grade levels

Ability to personalize lessons for each student

Must be comfortable doing in-home tutoring

Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle

Willingness to travel up to 30 minutes to student location

Must be dependable and well organized

Familiarity with the Texas TEKS preferredLocation: Pearland, Friendswood, Manvel and neighboring areas

Job Type: Part-time, Contract

Tutors are independent contractors and have the freedom to use their own teaching styles and methods.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rates depending on qualification and experience.

Schedule: Flexible, mostly weekday evenings and weekends
