Required Qualifications:
• Associate degree from an accredited college or university required (significant progress
towards bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Must possess a demonstrated knowledge of patient registration and pre-service
activities, point-of-service collections, and pre-service processes.
• Knowledge of patient access services and the overall effect on the revenue cycle
• Experience working in a role that requires prioritization of multiple critical priorities
while ensuring quality and achievement of performance metrics
• A thorough understanding of government and commercial insurance plans, payor,
networks, and government resources
• Demonstrates effective communication with a customer and simplifying complex
information
• Excellent phone presentation and communication skills
• Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other
departments to resolve issues with innovative solutions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT Coding
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, meet deadlines, multi-task, and solve
problems while working under a moderate to high degree of pressure
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and hospital-based computer system (preferably EPIC)
• CRCA- SCHFMA’s Certified Revenue Cycle Associate certification (or comparable
Revenue Cycle certification through AAHAM or HFMA)
• Four years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle position or clinic operations
experience or at least 1 year of related experience in a related leadership role.
• CPR Certification (May be attained after hire into position)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university
• CHAA- NAHAM’s Certified Healthcare Access Associate certification (must be attained
within first year)
