The GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES) organization is seeking experienced Jet Engine Mechanics to join the engine shop’s disassembly and assembly line in our steadily developing and growing company. This is a full-time permanent position in a dynamic, advanced technical environment overhauling modern jet engines. The ideal candidate will perform mechanical duties to disassemble and assemble CF6 and CFM engines; maintenance; repairs as well as on-wing support at customer premises worldwide on request. This position is located in Wilmington, Ohio.
Responsibilities:
Maintain articles in accordance with the applicable approved technical data or data acceptable to the FAA and complying with air carrier maintenance procedures
Interpret FAA-accepted or FAA-approved data and read and interpret aircraft drawings and blueprints.
Clean, disassemble, check, repair, reassemble and test of parts in accordance with appropriate data and perform repairs and alterations to engines and components
Making the proper record entries for the work performed and performing operational checks after the work is completed
Propose revisions to procedures, forms, and other documents that are not accurate or effective
Maintain all shop equipment and tools in a serviceable working condition
Identify all parts removed from an assembly in accordance with the RSMQCM tagging procedures
Performing other duties as directed or requiredQualifications:
Experience with jet engine assembly, disassembly, and overhaul
Airframe and Powerplant License under 14 CFR Part 65
Skilled in performing repairs and modifications on engines and aircraft components.
Familiar with metal cutting tools and machines such as saws, drills, and grinding wheels.
Ability to understand and interpret documents related to technical manuals, diagrams, and safety rules.
English language proficiency to be able to read and interpret maintenance manuals and service bulletins
Able to work in a team-oriented environmentPreferred Qualifications:
5 years of General Electric Engine shop maintenance experience
Factory training with CF6 and CFM56 engine types
FAR 145 repair station experience
On-wing engine run and taxi qualifications
Video Boroscope training and experience
Current Passport for International travel
