Network Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a proficient IT Engineer to be an integral part of our IT team located in Beacon Falls, Connecticut. As an IT Engineer, you will be tasked with the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure to ensure its optimal performance and security. Your role will involve maintaining our IT infrastructure's stability and enhancing network reliability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal performance and security by designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure.

• Provide hardware and software support via telephone, email, or remote tools, ensuring efficient resolution of IT issues.

• Install and configure various IT equipment such as computers, notebooks, printers, multi-functional devices, and telephone handsets.

• Ensure the latest versions of operating systems and software are installed and upgraded on all devices.

• Monitor and manage the on-premises server to ensure its optimal performance.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of Print Management Solutions.

• Utilize ITIL solutions such as Goto and Jira to enhance IT support functions.

• Ensure the smooth operation of audiovisual facilities, video conferencing, and microphones.

• Identify potential major incidents and problems proactively to prevent disruption of IT services.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks and manage incidents to ensure continuous IT service delivery.

• Manage user accounts effectively and efficiently.

• Document IT issues and their resolution steps to create a knowledge base for future reference.

• Perform any other duties as required to contribute to the delivery of our Helpdesk service to our users.

• Familiarity with Computer Hardware is required.

• Experience with Cisco Access Points is necessary.

• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10.

• Proficiency in using JIRA is a plus.

• The candidate should hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience in a similar role.

• Excellent problem-solving skills are required.

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.

• The candidate should have a detail-oriented approach to work.

• A track record in maintaining high network efficiency is desired.

• A strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware is necessary.

• The ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices is required.

• The candidate should be willing to be on call for emergencies.
