Job Description:

This Android Mobile Application developer will be working with the Mobile Development team and will be helping to shape the direction of their next generation features and products for home security.

The team is currently developing and supporting 2 Apps. This project is a Native Android App. There is also another app just for Android devices.

There are also some upcoming new projects for new apps and frameworks.

Work with Android Mobile Development team and product management team to conceptualize, build, test and release apps

Work directly with other developers and product managers throughout the entire app life cycle from concept, design, development, testing and release

Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologies

The developer will work closely with the business owners, product management and the mobile development team during the entire product lifecycle, from concept to delivery and post launch support. Will work on variety of projects,

The team is co-located here in Irving, TX next to mobile app dev team (ios and android) and UI engineers..

Experience in developing and shipping high-quality Android applications

In-depth understanding of the Android platform and its apps development ecosystem

Intimate knowledge of Android design patterns as well as Material Design Guidelines.

Solid understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, Sockets

Created or worked intimately with a network API that communicates with a remote server for data processing

Up to speed with the latest Android version changes, features and requirements

Hands-on experience developing and supporting reusable Android components

Experience with consumer facing UI development

Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable and efficient code and correctly employ object-oriented design patterns
