Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Job Description
Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines, including mills and lathes. Primarily working on Mori Siekis and Doosans. Utilize precision measuring tools to check parts, and use blueprints daily. Knowledge of G and M code is essential.
Responsibilities
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
Visually inspect parts to ensure conformance with standards and customer requirements.
Inspect tooling for wear and damage.
Properly and safely operate equipment and record production daily.
Operate one or more CNC machines daily while maintaining all quality and safety requirements.
Properly and safely load/unload machines, identify and isolate non-conforming products, and assist the team leader.
Read and interpret basic technical drawings and blueprints.
Assist Set-Up Tech with basic setup and teardown.
Maintain near-zero scrap throughout the run cycle.
Make machine offset adjustments as needed to maintain control.
Perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned.Essential Skills
2+ years of CNC operating experience.
Capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for 8 hours or more.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and self-motivation.
Ability to keep work areas neat, clean, and organized.
High school diploma or equivalent.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with G and M code.
Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges.
Knowledge of GD&T.
Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, and Mastercam.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Work Environment
The work area is set up in cells, allowing you to work on more than one machine at a time. You will be in one building within our large company. The dress code includes jeans and a work shirt. You must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillside, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.49 - $28.13/hr.
