Salary: $50K to $80K based on experience

As we continue to scale, we're looking for an Inventory Controller to support our production operations and help us maintain optimal inventory levels and material flow.

Position Summary:

The Inventory Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of inventory control and material tracking across our manufacturing facilities. This role ensures accurate inventory counts, monitors stock levels, investigates discrepancies, and coordinates with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to maintain a smooth supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily inventory operations including material receiving, stocking, issuing, and returns.

Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements in the ERP system.

Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory with system data.

Analyze inventory variances and resolve discrepancies through root-cause investigation.

Work closely with procurement and production teams to ensure material availability for production schedules.

Assist in developing inventory control policies and procedures to reduce waste and optimize stock levels.

Coordinate with warehouse staff to improve layout, labeling, and organization for efficient picking and storage.

Monitor inventory levels and generate reorder reports to avoid stockouts or overstocking.

Support material planning, forecasting, and reporting for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Participate in audits and compliance reviews related to inventory control.

Train and support team members on inventory processes and ERP best practices.Qualifications:

Proven experience in inventory control, supply chain, or warehouse management, ideally in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Strong understanding of inventory processes, MRP/ERP systems (experience with [insert your ERP if applicable] is a plus).

High attention to detail and analytical skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.

Strong communication and coordination skills across departments.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of systems and processes.

Forklift certification and understanding of safety procedures is a plus.

Potential Questions Addressed:

What are the hours for this position? - Full Time 8-5, Monday thru Friday

Is a degree required or is on-the-job experience acceptable? - A degree is not not required, but it is a plus.

Is there any travel required to job sites or clients' facilities? - No.

As the Inventory Manager will you be responsible for any direct reports? - Yes, 3-4 team members.

Is construction and/or, specifically, modular experience required? - Not necessarily, but it would be helpful.

What type of inventory system will you be utilizing? - Material Requirements Planning (MRP) through our ERP.

What is the specific ERP/WMS system that is used? - We are currently using Masterplan ERP, but will be switching in the next 6-12 months.

Is the system Stand-alone, an ERP-integrated WMS, Cloud-based? - Cloud-based.

What is the interview process? - An initial screening interview followed by an In-person interview with the company General Manager. The possibility of a second In-person interview/walk-through exists to meet the team.
