Job Description
This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components. The machinist interprets blueprints, specifications, and sample parts to ensure accurate measurements and tolerances. They set up machines, select appropriate tools and materials, and adjust machining factors for optimal performance. Trial runs and inspections verify accuracy, with adjustments made as needed. The machinist records quality data, maintains equipment, and ensures cleanliness for efficient operation. They also collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve machining challenges and suggest process improvements.
Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and sample parts to ensure accurate measurements and tolerances.
Set up machines and select appropriate tools and materials for optimal performance.
Adjust machining factors for optimal performance during production.
Conduct trial runs and inspections to verify the accuracy of components.
Make necessary adjustments to ensure component quality.
Record quality data and maintain equipment for efficient operation.
Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve machining challenges.

Work Environment
Work in a defense and aerospace machine shop that specializes in military equipment. The machine shop is spacious, clean, organized, and climate-controlled. The position offers a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with hours from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $61200.00 - $81600.00/yr.

Full-time
