Mill-turn Machinist

Job Description

Candidates will be setting up Mill-turn machines, checking parts, coaching other machinists, and performing some programming at the machine. This role is a direct placement opportunity. Candidates should have low scrap rates and knowledge of different CNC control systems.

Responsibilities

Set up Mill-turn machines.

Check parts for accuracy and quality.

Coach and mentor other machinists.

Perform programming at the machine.

Maintain low scrap rates.

Understand and utilize different CNC control systems.Essential Skills

Mill-Turn experience.

Ability to express ideas, share information, listen actively, and demonstrate professionalism in written and verbal communications.

Able to read and interpret blueprints, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use hand-held measuring tools.

Proficient knowledge of CMM, VCMM, and GD&T.

Advanced knowledge of programming at the controller.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Demonstrated knowledge of SPC.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to make effective and timely decisions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Subject matter expert and “go-to” in assigned machining area, collaborating with other Senior Machinists and Supervisors.

Promotes a sense of urgency to expedite work through area while maintaining quality standards.

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $113100.00/yr.
