Job Title: Materials Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials within our facility. This role involves various tasks related to inventory management, material handling, and supporting manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Maintain safety at all times
Unload and receive shipments using various material handling equipment
Transfer and put away inventory to assigned locations
Kit components for manufacturing work orders
Replenish inventory at the point of use on the manufacturing floor (aka Water Spider)
Conduct routine cycle counting and participate in periodic physical inventories
Pick, pack, and ship customer sales orders
Process customer and supplier returns
Perform daily transactions of materials and inventory movements in ERP system
Move materials throughout the facility
Maintain inventory stores to ensure compliance with 6’s standards
Work in a safe and efficient manner
Perform other duties as assignedEssential Skills
Associates degree or minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to utilize a variety of material handling equipment, including sit down forklift, stand up high reach, cherry picker, manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, hand truckAdditional Skills & Qualifications
Independent worker who can assess needs and determine priorities
High level of attention to detail while operating in a multi-tasking environment
Ability to lift packages weighing up to 35 pounds
Effective verbal and written communication with individuals at all levels of the organization
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing concepts, particularly demand flow technology, pull management systems, and inventory location systems
Intermediate skill level in MS Office applications (Word, Excel)Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a warehouse environment with a team of 8-10 employees. The role involves using various material handling equipment and adhering to safety standards. The work environment is dynamic and requires effective communication and multi-tasking skills.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
