Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team on a temp-hire basis in Fremont, California. In this role, you will take ownership of critical accounting functions, including month-end close processes, intercompany transactions, and sales tax reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team while managing both domestic and international accounting activities.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries for prepaids, fixed assets, inventory, and accruals.
• Manage intercompany transactions between parent organizations and subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain and review the general ledger for the company's foreign subsidiary.
• Coordinate with the Avalara system to provide accurate sales tax information and respond to related requests.
• Handle compliance filings, including 1099s, sales/use tax, and other required documentation.
• Review, code, and process daily accounts payable invoices while ensuring proper approvals.
• Support daily cash receipt activities, such as depositing checks and investigating credit card charges or chargebacks.
• Assist with annual audits and tax preparation by providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Act as the primary contact for enterprise billing issues, including researching credit memos, managing installment billing, and creating custom invoicing templates.
• Contribute to administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned by the parent company.• A bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is required.
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in a high-tech and international environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of V-lookups, pivot tables, and SUMIF functions.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite is mandatory.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Oracle or SAP is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
• Experience with sales tax systems, particularly Avalara, is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
