Job Description

Our client, a leader in aerospace and defense is seeking a Project Engineer that will play a key leadership role in the engineering lifecycle from proposal and design through development, testing, and delivery. This role involves both technical leadership and cross-functional coordination, ensuring that programs meet performance, cost, and schedule objectives.Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Program Management:

Lead engineering activities throughout the program lifecycle including proposal, design, analysis, and qualification testing.

Manage schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and deliverables.

Technical Communication & Documentation:

Prepare and review technical documents, reports, and presentations.

Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and suppliers.

Represent engineering in formal coordination meetings and reviews.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with Design, Reliability, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management teams.

Ensure product compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

Leadership & Team Coordination:

Lead project teams and guide them toward achieving milestones.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to future program direction.

Customer & Supplier Interaction:

Interface with both commercial and military clients and vendors.

Conduct technical evaluations and site visits as necessary (occasional travel required).

System & Component Engineering:

Develop specifications for subcontracted components.

Apply technical knowledge of hydraulic and electromechanical systems to product development.

Ensure adherence to industry standards including MIL specs and AS9100 quality systems.Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.

Proven experience in aerospace or defense-related projects, preferably involving hydraulic or electromechanical systems.

Familiarity with hoists, winches, and related aerospace equipment is a strong plus.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management abilities.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Solid understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and applicable standards.

Must be eligible under ITAR requirements.

Exceptional communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation.Preferred Experience:

Experience working with MIL specifications and civil aerospace requirements.

Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management Systems.

Experience in both individual contributor and team leadership roles.

Pay Details: $115,000.00 per year
