Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of all accounting functions within our manufacturing facility in Walton, Kentucky. This role requires a highly organized individual with a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. As a key member of the management team, you will also play a critical role in supervising the accounting department and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions, including financial reporting, managerial accounting, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and ensure accuracy in all financial documentation.

• Develop, monitor, and update fixed and variable cost budgets, providing quarterly forecasts and pro forma financial statements.

• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company resources and ensure data reliability.

• Manage day-to-day business operations related to trading, such as customs bonds and legal documentation.

• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring high performance and fostering growth.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with local government agencies, federal authorities, and community organizations.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory requirements.

• Lead special projects and provide internal training on accounting systems and processes.

• Promote a clean and organized work environment, adhering to high standards of housekeeping.• Extensive experience in accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and auditing.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools such as CRM, ADP Financial Services, and Crystal Reports.

• Strong knowledge of budget preparation, financial forecasting, and reporting processes.

• Familiarity with internal control frameworks and risk management practices.

• Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
