Job Summary:

As a Kitchen and Bath Showroom Consultant at Carr Supply - Columbus, you will be the face of our showroom, guiding customers through our extensive selection of kitchen and bath fixtures and accessories. You will leverage your passion for design and product knowledge to understand customer needs, offer creative solutions, and ultimately drive sales. This role requires a consultative sales approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients. You will manage the design process from initial customer contact to order fulfillment, ensuring a smooth and satisfying experience.

Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement & Sales:

Greet and engage showroom visitors, including handling walk-in appointments, understanding their project requirements, design preferences, and budget.

Schedule design meetings with homeowners and contractors to discuss project details and provide creative and unique design ideas.

Provide expert advice and product recommendations based on customer needs and current design trends.

Present product features, benefits, and technical specifications effectively.

Generate and follow up on sales quotes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Create detailed quotes and proposals.

Follow up with customers to answer questions, address concerns, and close sales.

Meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the showroom.

Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, designers, and homeowners.

Design & Product Knowledge:

Research special order items to meet specific customer requests.

Maintain a thorough understanding of our product lines, including plumbing fixtures, faucets, sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, and accessories.

Stay up-to-date on new products, industry trends, and design innovations.

Order Fulfillment & Coordination:

Collaborate effectively with other Carr Supply - Columbus departments, including sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams, to ensure seamless customer experiences. This includes coordinating will-call pickups and expediting customer orders.

Follow freight and return policies.

Work with the Credit Manager when required to resolve customer account issues.

Utilize company systems and software for quoting, order entry, and customer relationship management.

Showroom Maintenance & Presentation:

Maintain the showroom appearance, ensuring displays are clean, organized, up-to-date, and visually appealing.

Keep showroom products up to date and eye catching.

Keep showroom clean, neat and orderly

Assist with showroom merchandising and updates as needed.

Customer Service & Communication:

Answer phones and provide excellent customer service.

Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire sales process.

Marketing & Professional Development:

Represent the company at trade shows, conventions, and other industry events.

Update literature and marketing materials.

Market the showroom whenever and wherever possible to drive traffic and generate leads.

Schedule and participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Promote new programs and initiatives to customers.

Company Policies & Branding:

Adhere to all Winsupply policies and procedures.

Maintain company branding standards.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in sales, preferably in a kitchen and bath showroom or related industry.

Strong knowledge of kitchen and bath products, design principles, and current trends.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Customer-focused with a passion for providing exceptional service.

Ability to understand and interpret customer needs and translate them into effective solutions.

Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in basic computer applications and the ability to learn new software.

Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in design or a related field are a plus.

Schedule & Benefits:

Commission eligible position

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

1 rotating Saturday per month, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
