Responsibilities
Serve as Forensic Consultant
Manage staff architect team
Conduct residential/commercial forensic investigations.
Investigate/assess damages due to catastrophes or normal environmental conditions (storm damage, hurricanes, floods, marine environment)
Research technical publications and literature in support of evaluations.
Apply architectural principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards
Prepare forensic engineering reports stating cause and origin of damage to clients.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Write proposals.
Write scopes of repair
Communicate project updates and timelines to staff and clients.
Regular travel to KE AD Hawaii office to consult on projects
10%-25% Travel locally and nationally
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture
10+ years of architectural experience
1+ years of experience with forensic engineering preferred.
Registered Architect license.
Experience with premises and walking surface investigations, including product defect cases.
Ability to inspect homes, roofs and crawlspaces.
Working knowledge of building structures and the construction process
Experience writing technical reports.
Project management experience
Supervisory experience; managing a team of architects and support staff
