Logistics Manager

Wellborn Forest Cabinetry is hiring a Logistics Manager in Alexander City, AL.

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of cabinets to customers with our private fleet and drivers. The role is also responsible for coordinating backhauls of raw material on our fleet.

Wellborn Forest, a member of the HCI Portfolio, is a designer and manufacturer of semi-custom wood kitchen and bath cabinets serving the single-family residential market exclusively through the dealer channel.

Key Responsibilities:

Assign drivers to outbound loads on a weekly basis

Assign drivers to pickup backhauls on a weekly basis

Ensure compliance to all DOT regulations for fleet and drivers

Ensure upkeep of all required records, licensing, etc for fleet

Manage driver/ fleet safety programs

Work with scheduling to ensure routing optimization

Manage and direct the work of logistics personnel

Negotiate agreements with external carriers when extra capacity is needed

Analyze logistics data, identify trends and develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures

Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient supply chain operations

Monitor and track freight costs and transportation methods Job Qualifications:

Knowledge of DOT compliance requirements

Experience managing a fleet

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles

Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
