Responsible for verifying insurance coverage and benefits, and preauthorization information for elective services. Responsible for estimating patient out of pocket costs. Responsible for contacting patients to advise of anticipated out of pocket costs and for answering questions related to insurance. Responsible for maintaining appropriate communication with respective service departments. Responsible for appropriate documentation in patient accounts.
Requirements
Excellent communication skills to include oral comprehension, oral expression, written comprehension, and written expression
Computer/PC experience
2 years of billing, registration, or related experience
Outstanding public relations/customer service experience
High level of personal presentation
Ability to maintain accuracy with interruptions
Ability to use sound judgement and cope with potentially stressful situations
