PROJECT MANAGER

Description:

This is an on-site position. No remote/No hybrid. Selected candidate MUST sit in the Columbus, OH Office - 535 W Spring St, Columbus, OH 43215.

Travel: Yes - 15% - T

Responsibilities:

Serve as the project point of contact with the Owner regarding efforts such as client coordination, strategic planning, scope management, and budgeting.

Provide overall management of projects from concept through the development phase, including siting, environmental, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, project controls, bid phase services, procurement, constructability reviews, material management, construction management, and closeout.

Coordinate project kick-offs and development of a project team to evaluate, refine, and clarify project scope.

Lead projects from the conceptual stage through the developmental stage to the hand-off of the project to the execution team; the hand-off of the project takes place at approximately 30% of the overall project lifecycle.

Lead multiple concurrent projects, including overhead transmission and substation projects, ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV.

Work with technical teams to understand interdependencies of projects and establish an overall construction sequence for inter-related projects.

Maintain detailed project financials with support from the cost analyst team.

Maintain a detailed project schedule with support from the project scheduling team

Implement a project management lifecycle process to document and execute projects in a consistent, standardized fashion.

Leverage technical education and background to effectively manage projects through early development

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited program and 7 years of applicable experience are required

Must have 4+ years of project management or design engineering experience required

o Advanced certifications preferred (PE License, PMP Certification)

o High attention to detail and organization

o Excellent communication skills and professional etiquette

o Ability to work across multiple groups of different disciplines to drive results
