POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Assistant Manager- Operations - The Operations Assistant shall be responsible for but not limited to processing all aspects of claims information in our risk and accounting systems for all books of business written.

Whilst the role is New York based, it will support the claims function across all jurisdictions, including Bermuda, NYC and Zurich offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Working closely with Claims, Underwriting and Finance as part of the Operations team:

• Review, analyse and process claims e messages in the SICS system for all locations globally.

• Ensure all incoming claim correspondence is:

• -Reviewed

• -New claims set up in system as required

• -Added to the claim workflow system(s) and triaged accordingly

• Static claim management (review/chasing/closure).

• Claim analysis and handling with bdx accounts.

• Creation and circulation of claims management information on an as needed basis.

• Help create efficiencies and value creation (review existing processing and propose updates/changes as appropriate)

• Assist with implementation and execution of special/ad hoc projects within the Claims Operations Department.

• Ensure all functions are carried out with a high degree of quality, in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word)

• Previous claims and claims processing experience essential; 3+ years

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle a variety of duties in a timely and accurate manner

• Ability to work under own direction and with minimal supervision – however also needs to be effective team player with ability to communicate clearly.

• Challenges the status quo and identifies innovative solutions to solve problems and improve work process.

The full-time base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 USD per year; base salary offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position is eligible for bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. This information is provided per the New York City Human Rights Law and applies only to positions in New York City.
