Intro:

Job Title: Construction Safety Manager

Location: New Albany, OH

Duration: 1 Year

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $50 - $53/hr

• Per Diem: No Per Diem

• Pay: Weekly

Schedule:

• Hours: 60 hours/week Monday - Saturday

Project Scope:

• Electrical safety oversight for ongoing data center construction

• Oversight of all onsite contractors including Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Substation work

• Enforcement of safety protocols and incident investigation procedures

• Interface with multiple contractors and trades on a high-risk, fast-paced project

Qualifications:

• BCSP Certification (CSP, CHST, STS-C, ASP) OR 4-year Safety-Related Degree

• 5+ years of experience in construction, safety, and electrical work

• Incident Investigation Certification

• Must be able to pass background and drug screening

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct project safety inspections and worker orientations

• Monitor work activities and enforce site-specific safety practices

• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis

• Coordinate documentation through Procore and other software

• Maintain high standards of safety compliance across T&D and substation scopes

• Work collaboratively with foremen, trades, and project managers to promote a culture of safety

Skills:

• Strong communication and leadership in high-risk environments

• Proficient in safety software and digital reporting tools

• Organized and self-driven, with an ability to manage sitewide contractor activities

• Demonstrated experience on electrical construction sites and mission-critical facilities

Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of OSHA 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, and safety management systems in large-scale electrical and data center construction projects.
