Job Description

Duties: Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing and distribution of product. Ensure adherence to all PGI policies and procedures as defined by the PGI employee handbook. Responsible for site adherence to all FDA mandated regulations and customer requirements, good manufacturing practices, and food safety. Responsible for promoting a safe working environment and ensuring employees are adhering to safety policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring employees are adhering to company standard operating procedures and policies and following good manufacturing practices. Identify and support Quality in remedying any food safety issues, non conformances, and out of specification products. Assist in deploying and executing a strategic plan within PGI manufacturing and distribution. Responsible for achievement of PGI manufacturing and distribution metrics. Responsible for the Human Resources Department, Create and sustain a culture to support lean initiatives and promote lean values as measured through lean processes and continuous improvement. Responsible for allocating talent and capacity resources to achieve goals. Responsible for Responsible for the P&L and maximizing profitability of the operation through lean applications and effective planning/monitoring of the budget. Responsible for overall performance management and linking individual and team performance to manufacturing and distribution goals. Responsible for talent management of team leaders to drive decision-making to front line and encourage innovative process improvements. Responsible for oversight of succession planning and staff development. Responsible for ensuring site compliance with all laws, policies and company practices. Other duties as assigned. Supervise Production Manager, Shipping Manager, Quality Director, Scheduling, Lab Manager. Has hire/fire authority.

Requirements

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering and five years of related work experience. Must have experience in financial management and profit and loss (P&L) analysis. Must have experience in Warehouse operations. Must have experience with MRP systems including Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite. Must have experience with Microsoft software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 5 years of Production and Maintenance experience is required. 5 years of experience in proven project management and handling multi-thousand-dollar projects is required.
