Grocery Store / Deli Clerk

Duncansville, PA (Blair County)

We are seeking a Full Time, Store Sales Representative to join our team.

The Store Clerk will be cross trained to work the deli counter, store and freezer inventory and stocking, and customer service / cashier.

Job Duties:

Individual job duties will be assigned on a daily basis

Greet all customers in a kind, courteous manner

Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, utensils, etc.).

Make sure the deli containers and cases, soda cases, and freezers are stocked and fronted

Make sure all of the dried goods shelves are clean and stocked

Prepare daily paperwork as needed

Spray sanitizer daily on all counters including the chicken, deli, back counters and scales

Bleach all of the cutting boards and clean slicer daily

Assist store outlet manager with additional tasks when requested

Work Location: In personRequirements:

· Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

· Basic knowledge of math, weights and measures is required.

· Good vision is required for using sharp knives, band saw, grinder, sausage maker, box cutter, wrapping machine and tenderizer.

· Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes including weekends and holidays.

· Good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment

· Must be capable of standing for up to 4 hour continuously, and a total of 8 hours per shift if necessary.

· Be able to work inside a temperature controlled area, and perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.).

Experience:

Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
