Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves setting up and operating metal forming equipment, performing quality inspections, and supporting our manufacturing processes. There are two open positions available, and candidates must be open to working various shifts, including day, evening, and overnight.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate metal forming equipment
Utilize tools and follow work instructions
Operate cutback saw
Perform changeovers for shear dies
Operate stamping presses
Conduct visual and quality inspections using calipers and micrometers
Perform basic math and use a tape measure for quality checks and saw operation
Lift up to 50 lbs
Use a tape measure to check the length, width, and spacing of holes
Complete documentation for completed jobs
Utilize a micrometer to measure the thickness of metal
Assist material handlers with coils and steelEssential Skills
Mechanical maintenance
Tape measure proficiency
Press operator experience
Mechanically inclined
Experience with overhead cranes
Machine repair and operation
Experience with stamping presses and press brakes
Ability to unload and band materials
Experience with progressive dies and slitter machinesAdditional Skills & Qualifications
Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand and power tools
Ability to read a tape measure to the 32nd inch
Open to working all shifts
Minimum of 1 year of press operator experience
Possess metatarsal boot covers
Ability to lift 50 lbs

Work Environment
This is a CTH Union Shop where you will initially train on the first shift and eventually move to either the 3rd shift (11pm-7am) or the 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) based on seniority ranking. The role involves standing for 8 or more hours per day, walking off and on for 4-6 hours per day, and occasionally stooping, bending, squatting, reaching overhead, and extending arms. The facility is very safety-conscious, and employees enjoy a supportive and collaborative work environment. Average tenure is 20-25 years, reflecting a strong employee retention rate.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
