CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC equipment, including CNC Lathes and Vertical Mills..

Familiarity with CNC machinery operations and routine maintenance.

Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Prepare and configure complex setups on CNC machines.

Apply knowledge of various material properties and machining methods.

Read and follow blueprints and process documentation to machine components to precise tolerances.

Identify and select appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine settings for each job.

Program machine controls to regulate factors such as speed, feed rate, coolant flow, and cutting depth, or modify existing programs as needed.

Monitor machining operations to identify and correct any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.

Help create machine programs if none are available.

Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required specifications.

Work collaboratively with engineers, production staff, and programmers to troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges.

Perform routine maintenance and follow preventive care procedures for equipment.

Accurately log work order details for each project.

Maintain a high level of focus on workplace safety and operational awareness.

Foster a respectful and team-oriented work environment.
