Job Description

Adecco Healthcare & LifeSciences is currently looking to hire a skilled Phlebotomist for their client in New Brunswick location .

Position: Phlebotomist

Contract Type: Temporary

Pay Rate: $25/hour

Shift Schedule: 20–28 hours per week

Working Days: Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

Interview Type: In-Person

Key Responsibilities:

Blood Collection & Processing

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism

Properly label and document all specimens with complete patient information

Ensure timely transport of samples to the lab for testing

Patient Interaction & Care

Greet patients and provide reassurance throughout the procedure

Clearly explain blood draw processes and answer patient questions

Address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism

Lab & Workplace Support

Follow proper procedures for handling, processing, and storing specimens

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area

Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and supply restocking

Compliance & Documentation

Adhere to all clinic, safety, and infection control protocols

Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations

Accurately input patient data and results into the electronic health record (EHR) system

Assist with scheduling and coordination of lab appointments and follow-ups

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program (preferred)

Previous experience in a phlebotomy or clinical lab setting is a plus

Familiarity with specimen handling, medical terminology, and infection control practices

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
