Gear Apprentice Pay: $18/hrLocation: Ferndale, MI 48220Industry: Aerospace, Automotive, and Commercial Gear ManufacturingPosition OverviewAs a Gear Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of a Department Lead to operate gear manufacturing machines and ensure the production of high-quality parts.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in precision machining and gear production.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate gear manufacturing machines, including Fellows Shapers and Bourn & Koch Hobbs, to produce parts according to specifications.Utilize inspection tools such as gear rolling fixtures, pins, height gauges, and micrometers to verify part dimensions and quality.Monitor machine operations to detect any deviations or defects, ensuring consistent production quality.Communicate promptly with the Department Lead regarding any issues or irregularities observed during production.Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Basic understanding of mechanical principles and machining processes.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is a plus but not required.About Cardinal Staffing Services:Cardinal Staffing Services, Inc.
