VACANCY FOR THE POST OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE BAHAMAS The Antiquities, Monuments and Museum Board of The National Museum of The Bahamas, a statutory body ( ) established in 1998 is seeking to recruit a Human Resources Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the work of the Human Resources Unit.
The successful applicant will: 1.
Oversee the organization and management of Human Resources function within the AMMC and co-ordinate the daily operations of the Human Resources Department; 2.
Ensure the planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; schedule management conferences with employees; hear and resolve employees’ grievances; counsel employees and supervisors; 3.
Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions in the organization and ensure that they are recorded in the appropriate Human Resources Information system; 4.
Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updates based on the organization’s overall policies and procedures; ensure compliance with the policies and procedures as well as the Employment Act of the Bahamas and the Industrial Agreement; 5.
Maintain employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits by providing the relevant policies associated with benefits of the organization; assist with the assessing of benefits needs and trends; recommend improved benefits where necessary; 6.
Ensure the selection and recruitment of staff by organizing advertisements, short list candidates and spearhead the interview process; 7.
Ensure the evaluation of employees by providing supervisors with sufficient performance appraisal tools to complete staff evaluations in a timely manner; 8.
Liaise with Senior Managers on human resource matters related to their respective Units; 9.
Direct the supervision of the Registry, inclusive of the Reception, Messenger and Custodial Staff; 10.
Seeks professional and developmental training for Corporation staff; 11.
Prepare the Corporation’s Human Resources Annual Budget.
Requirements: 1.
A Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration or relevant degree, with ten (10) years Human Resources experience, inclusive of five (5) years supervisory experience; 2.
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills; 3.
Must have good writing skills.
