Job Title: Business Analyst – Investran SME

Location: King of Prussia, PA 19406 or New York, NY 10017 (Hybrid 3 days Onsite/Week)

Duration: 6-12+ Months

Pay Rate: $DOE/Hour on CTC

Client: Industry: Private Equity / Financial Services

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst with hands-on experience in Investran, a leading private equity accounting and administration platform. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between business users and IT, ensuring the successful implementation, optimization, and support of Investran and related systems across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business requirements related to fund accounting, investor relations, and portfolio management.

• Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into functional specifications and system enhancements within Investran.

• Lead and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for Investran enhancements and upgrades.

• Conduct data mapping, validation, and reconciliation between Investran and downstream systems (e.g., data warehouses, reporting tools).

• Develop dashboards and reports using Investran Query Tool (IQT) or other BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).

• Support ongoing configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of Investran modules.

• Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Operations teams to improve process automation and data integration.

• Troubleshoot issues and liaise with FIS Global (Investran vendor) for resolution when needed.

• Train end-users and create support documentation and SOPs.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, preferably in private equity or fund administration.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Investran (Front Office, Accounting, or CRM modules).

• Familiarity with private equity fund structures, capital calls, distributions, and waterfall models.

• Strong understanding of data structures, SQL, and data transformation logic.

• Experience working with Investran IQT or custom reporting solutions.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating Investran with other systems like Salesforce, data lakes, or third-party portals.

• Knowledge of APIs, ETL tools, or Python scripting for automation.

• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.

• CPA, CFA, or financial certifications are a plus.
