Roles and Responsibilities
The job duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supervise and lead a team of mechanical field employees, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and ensuring work is carried out efficiently and effectively.
Plan, prioritize, and schedule plumbing projects, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately and deadlines are met.
Collaborate with project managers and other contractors to coordinate plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and plan plumbing systems accordingly.
Order and manage the inventory of plumbing materials, equipment, and tools needed to complete projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and other malfunctions.
Keep accurate records of labor, materials, and project progress, and prepare reports as required.
Mentor and train junior plumbers, providing guidance on best practices and promoting professional development.
Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Proven experience as a Plumbing Foreman or similar leadership role in the plumbing industry.
Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of mechanical field employees effectively.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a hands-on approach to resolving technical issues.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members.
OSHA 30 Preferred
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including tight spaces and elevated areas, utilizing ladders and mobile personnel platforms (scissor lifts, boom lifts).
Ability to safely use plumbing tools (e.g., saws, drills, grinders)
