As the Principal Embedded Linux Software Engineer you will be responsible for;
Evaluating software change requests to medical devices and supporting tools
Leading SW Project teams and/or major features
Mentoring engineers in their areas of expertise
Designing, implementing, and testing software changes for medical devices
Participating in change control board, risk reviews, and other project meetings as necessary
Working with cross functional team to communicate changes, and understand impacts to their function
Creating documentation throughout the development process
Committing to achieving and exceeding project goals and timelines
Performing duties in compliance with the Quality Systems
Qualifications;
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
7+ years experience with C++/C
Working knowledge of embedded software development best practices.
Experience in Linux driver development
Experience with python development
Background in DevOps, CI/CD, embedded software toolchains and version management systems
Nice to have:
Knowledge of OOA&D concepts
Hands-on experience in navigating FDA and ISO/IEC standards, including ISO 13485, IEC62304, and ISO 14971.
Understanding of cybersecurity techniques such as code signing and encryption
Experience with Yocto Linux
Windows, and cloud platforms knowledge
Experience with embedded graphics technologies
Xilinx Toolchain experience
Experience with Git, Bash, gnu tools
Salary Range: $140K-$210K
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
