The Associate, Air Export is an entry-level operational role within the Operations department, responsible for supporting the Air Export team in the efficient and compliant processing of outbound air freight shipments.
Hours are 830 a- 530 p- Monday -Friday
Pay is based on experience $18.00-$18.50
Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Air Export, this individual will be responsible for performing various tasks related to shipment processing, documentation, and communication, contributing to the smooth flow of air export operations, and ensuring positive customer interactions.
Responsibilities:
Shipment Processing:
o Assist in the processing of air export shipments from booking to final delivery, following established procedures and guidelines.
o Accurately and efficiently enter shipment data into relevant systems.
o Prepare basic export documentation, such as air waybills, commercial invoices, and packing lists, under supervision.
o Coordinate with carriers and other stakeholders as directed by the Supervisor.
o Track shipment progress and update relevant parties as needed.
Documentation and Compliance:
o Ensure all required export documentation is complete and accurate.
o Understand and adhere to basic U.S. And international air export regulations (e.G., TSA, IATA), with guidance from the Supervisor.
o Follow global standards and procedures for air export.
o Maintain organized shipment files and records.
Customer Communication (Air Export Focus):
o Communicate proactively and professionally with customers regarding the status of their air export shipments, including booking confirmations, updates on transit, and delivery information.
o Answer customer inquiries related to air export shipments, providing accurate and timely information within their scope of knowledge, and escalating more complex inquiries to the Supervisor.
o Assist in resolving basic customer concerns or complaints related to air export, under the guidance of the Supervisor.
o Maintain a positive and customer-focused attitude in all interactions.
Administrative Tasks:
o Assist with general administrative tasks related to air export operations, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
o Maintain organized work areas.

o Actively participate in training sessions to develop knowledge of air export procedures, regulations, and systems.
o Seek guidance from the Supervisor and other team members to improve skills and understanding.
o Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

o Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or some college coursework in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field is a plus.
Entry-level position; some experience in an office environment or logistics industry is a plus but not required.
Basic understanding of office software (e.G., Microsoft Office Suite).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of air freight operations or international shipping a huge plus
Familiarity with logistics software or data entry systems a huge plus
Previous experience in a customer service role.
