Technical Configuration Associate

Do you enjoy configuring hardware and software to customer specifications and collaborating with teams on end-to-end equipment setup? CPT Network Solutions is seeking 2 Technical Configuration Associates to configure and stage networking, point of sale, and security equipment to customer specifications. This position includes interacting with customers and collaborating with internal teams for accurate and on-time equipment deployment. This is a hands-on position that offers seasonal overtime opportunities, competitive pay, and a rich benefits package.

Job Responsibilities:

Program/Test customer equipment according to the staging scope of work (SOW); POS equipment, servers, workstations, printers, phone systems, cameras, card access, etc.

Work with customers to resolve issues

Send staging updates as required by customer: via email or phone

Label and stage materials based on project teams’ needs and customer deadline

Update and maintain customer specific staging protocols and documents

Perform testing of any returned equipment from the field.

Flexible schedule as determined to meet company needs

All other duties as requested, delegated or assigned

Excellent customer service skills, professionalism

Able to multitask and meet deadlines.

Advanced computer skills / Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Work and Excel.

Problem analysis/problem solving skills

Strong attention to detail

Working knowledge of PC hardware, setting up printers, Microsoft OS, IP related set-up.

Basic understanding of Linux OS and Cisco switches/routers a plus but not a requirement.

Education:

High school degree or GED equivalent required.

Associates degree preferred

1-3 years’ experience in similar position with technical experience and managerial in related field preferred.
