Key Responsibilities
Architect, implement, and manage enterprise-grade networking hardware and software, primarily within Cisco ecosystems (routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls).
Set up and manage secure remote access using Cisco VPN solutions.
Fine-tune dynamic routing configurations (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) for optimized performance.
Administer network access via Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
Deploy and manage secure access solutions, including cloud-delivered SASE frameworks.
Develop and enforce network security protocols, firewall configurations, and access controls.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to operationalize SASE tools for a distributed workforce.
Support data privacy and compliance initiatives by aligning network configurations with regulatory frameworks and industry benchmarks.
Strengthen Zero Trust principles through integrated SASE and ZTNA strategies.
Investigate and resolve network issues with detailed root cause analysis.
Utilize network monitoring platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime) to ensure uptime and performance.
Execute system updates, firmware upgrades, and patch deployments on a regular basis.
Required Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
5 years in network engineering within a mid-to-large enterprise, preferably with global reach.
Deep understanding of Cisco device configuration and IOS/NX-OS platforms
Expertise in enterprise networking concepts: LAN/WAN, subnetting, VLANs
Experience working with Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls
Competency with wireless systems (e.g., Cisco 9800 WLC, APs)
Exposure to cloud networking models across Azure or AWS
Knowledge of infrastructure automation (e.g., Ansible, Python)
Hands-on familiarity with SD-WAN, Zero Trust models, and SASE architectures
Certifications
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
