Solutions Architect

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure, networking, containers, serverless computing, Kubernetes (specifically AKS), Docker, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (such as GitHub Actions and GitLab Runners), zero downtime deployment strategies, and disaster recovery (DR).

Candidate must be a savvy communicator who can effectively navigate and leverage internal infrastructure resources and articulate high level concepts to stakeholders and leadership partners.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable Azure-based solutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network strategies to optimize performance and reliability

Manage and deploy containerized applications using AKS, Azure Functions, Event Hub, and other PaaS services

Automate infrastructure provisioning and management with Terraform (IaC)

Enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitLab Runners

Implement zero-downtime deployment strategies to reduce service disruptions

Design, implement, and test disaster recovery (DR) plans for business continuity

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security

Stay updated on industry trends in cloud computing, DevOps, and AI-driven development

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5-8 years experience working as an application developer using the cloud.

Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and VPC.

Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.

Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab Runners, or similar tools.

Familiarity with zero downtime deployment strategies and techniques.

Experience designing and implementing disaster recovery (DR) solutions.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Persuasive communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience with one more of the following: Node JS, AWS Lambda or Functions, Kafka or Event Hub

Experience with one more of the following: Rust, Python, Golang, Java, JavaScript or Typescript
