BAE Systems is seeking a Jr Cloud Systems Engineer that will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and integration of systems hosted on the AWS cloud for a program that delivers security and network services across multiple classification levels in the customer’s environment.

Responsibilities will include:

Support the cloud team in configuring AWS services such as Network Firewalls, VPCs, EC2, etc.

Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts and software configuration scripts

Perform Linux and Windows systems administration

Integrate third party tools such as Splunk Security tools

Implement Zero Trust Architecture features across the cloud

Performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluating alternatives including cost, risk, supportability and analyses for total systems

Evaluating total cost of ownership and return on investment of various IT platform/infrastructure alternatives.

Working with the customer to understand and validate requirements.

Support the security team to test and authorize the system for an enterprise Authority to Operate (ATO)

Perform lifecycle management on Software and Hardware

Preferred Skills and Education

AWS Solution Architect Professional, or equivalent

Experience working in an Agile or DevSecOps team

Experience with CI/CD pipelines
