As a Lead Financial Analyst within the Technical Accounting team of the Global Inventory COE, you will be responsible for preparing complex journal entries, performing reconciliations, and analyzing inventory-related data to ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. This individual contributor role focuses on one of the key inventory processes, such as GRNI/GIT, Costing, E&O, or Asset Management, and requires strong technical accounting expertise combined with hands-on operational insight. In addition to executing core accounting activities, you will provide in-depth financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, while also mentoring less-experienced staff when needed. The position demands a high level of independence, attention to detail, and at least four years of relevant experience.

What you will do

Perform month-end close tasks including inventory calculations, reconciliations, and analysis using advanced Excel and Power BI.

Prepare journal entries and accruals in compliance with GAAP during period-end activities.

Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts for specific subprocesses (e.g., GRNI/GIT, Costing, E&O, Assets) in line with company policies.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of inventory reports, ensuring reconciliation with the General Ledger and adherence to IPE procedures.

Provide ad-hoc analytical support such as trend analysis and reserve level testing; assist with internal controls and compliance monitoring.

Keep process documentation current, including updates to Excel models and Power BI reports based on business changes.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders across departments and regions, ensuring financial impacts are clearly identified and aligned.

Support internal and external audits, compliance tasks, and technical accounting inquiries; contribute to process improvements and system transitions.

What you need

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent is required

3-5+ years’ experience in a complex inventory and/or other complex accounting functions in global organizations

Experience with complex and detailed inventory accounting is required

Fluent in English

Excellent working knowledge & understanding of US GAAP is required

Advanced proficiency with Excel (required) and Power Bi

Preferred:

Master’s preferred

Other languages such as Spanish/Polish/Dutch are nice to have

CPA qualification preferred

Experience navigating and influencing in a matrix organization or working in a COE is preferred

Oracle/SAP/MFG/JDE experience is a nice to have

Travel Percentage: 10%
