We’re looking for a Valuation Manager to:
• Support the day to day of the AIF valuation business.
• Review and control the AIF products valuation and carried interest model.
• Prepare valuation reports for the UBS FML AIF Valuation Committee review and approval.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for the senior management team and board of directors
• Handle audit requests related to valuation.

Your team
You will be working in the ManCo Delivery Team in UBS’s Business Solution Center in Poland. The Team is responsible for delivering investment fund-related services to the three European Management Companies located in Luxembourg, Switzerland and Ireland. In your role you will be supporting the Alternative Investment Fund Valuation team (“AIF team”), which is responsible for the valuation of alternative assets and finance matters related to AIFs for the European business.
Your expertise
• Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Mathematics and any of the relevant qualifications (CFA/ICAEW/ACCA)
• 3-5 years of relevant financial services industry experience (Audit or advisory department from big4 will be an asset)
• knowledge and experience with portfolio valuation in accordance with the AIFMD requirements, based on practical work, knowing industry standards such as the International Private Equity & Venture Capital Valuation Guidelines (IPEV)
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Understand the mechanism to calculate a fund performance
• Understand the different accounting GAAPs (IFRS, INREV, Lux GAAP) will be an asset
• Familiarity with a wide range of valuation approaches (e.g. Income, Market)
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Analytical and quantitative skills, highly organized
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to produce compelling, detailed reporting materials
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken) – any other European language will be an advantage
