Validation Engineer

About the Role

The Validation Engineer will be responsible for supporting engineering group on several projects in various stages of development. The Validation Engineer must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with little supervision needed to maintain project schedules/deadlines.

What You Will Do

Build, debug, test, repair and upgrade computer prototypes (computers, servers, peripherals, programs and software/firmware) [伺服器 儲存器 機架 機櫃系統周邊相關組裝及安裝 主機零件線材置換 軟韌體安裝更新…等]

Proficient in hand soldering is a plus [*非必須*加分技能: 主機板零件焊接 重工]

Assist engineers in the evaluation of new electronic components [協助測試]

Document prototype construction and maintain pertinent engineering records [紀錄測試過程及結果 並提供測試進度及報告]

Write procedures and various technical documents [編寫工作文件]

Perform Lab Management responsibilities to maintain and organize a clean and efficient lab [維持實驗室清潔有效率運作並且保持井然有序]

Materials management to inventory/track/ship materials [所有物資管理 (包含測試機器 零件 設備…等能被有效追蹤)]

Linux/Python/Powershell script or any programming language is a plus [*非必須*加分技能: 會任何一種程式語言或是有興趣學習]

What You Bring

Fundamental understanding of computer architecture and components (CPU, power supply, memory, graphics cards, flash memory, etc.) [對電腦硬體及其零組件有基本認知]

Ability to diagnose the root cause of computer system failure and isolate the components/failure nodes [能對問題或現象進行分析 重組 複製 逐步排除到最終找出問題點]

Ability to use custom Linux and Windows-based diagnostic/test programs to run benchmarks/tests on electronic components' performance [測試程式的執行 對Linux/Windows測試程式有基本認知或是有興趣]

Understanding of hardware and software interactions; able to apply this understanding to resolve issues [理解電腦硬體跟軟韌體之間關係 能排除基本錯誤並執行]

Excellent verbal and written communication skills [良好的中文溝通跟寫 基本的英文讀 寫 *非必須*加分技能: TOEIC > 450]

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at various levels in the organization [良好的人際互動 溝通]

Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability; uses rigorous logic to solve problems [邏輯思考 逐步排除問題能力]

Understands and uses speed as a competitive advantage; completes tasks on time [理解任務急迫性並能準時完成交付任務]

Associate’s degree in Electronics, Certificate of Completion of Technical School or equivalent experience in related discipline [電子 資訊相關科系 或是能舉出對程式語言相關經驗]

1+ years of engineering test, debug, tech support or relevant experience. Experience within a computer hardware and/or lab environment required. [一年相關經驗或是相關科系無經驗]

Break/Fix person in Data Center [*非必須*加分技能: 資料中心相關安裝]

Working knowledge of Intel based servers [*非必須*加分技能: intel 架構伺服器相關經驗]

In-depth knowledge of PowerShell Scripting is a plus for this role [*非必須*加分技能: 熟悉PowerShell]

Some exposure to debugging issues [問題排除解決經驗]

Rack level expertise including cabling and power supplies [*非必須*加分技能: 機櫃周邊相關系 安裝]
